Gallmaker is a threat actor tracked in the provided content as conducting spearphishing operations using malicious Microsoft Office document attachments. The lures included documents warning victims to "enable content" to trigger execution. The group used PowerShell to download additional payloads and for execution, and also used obfuscated shellcode during execution. The content associates Gallmaker with ATT&CK techniques including T1204.002 (Malicious File Execution), T1059.001 (PowerShell), and T1129 (Shared Modules). One cited description states that Gallmaker appears interested in overseas embassies as well as military and defense targets in the Middle East.
