Before building its own ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) operation called The Gentlemen, Phantom Mantis tested multiple ransomware families, including Qilin (Pestilent Mantis), Embargo (Primeval Mantis), LockBit (Tenacious Mantis), Medusa (Venomous Mantis), and BlackLock (Incredible Mantis). Known aliases directly mentioned in the content are Phantom Mantis and ArmCorp.
