Maverick is a banking trojan targeting Brazilian users. Kaspersky reported that it was distributed using a WhatsApp worm named SORVEPOTEL and that it shares many code overlaps with Coyote. According to the provided content, Maverick monitors 26 Brazilian banks, six cryptocurrency exchanges, and one payment platform for credential theft. Kaspersky also reported blocking 62,000 Maverick infection attempts in Brazil over a 10-day period. The only alias directly supported by the content is maverick_banker.
