Also known aschina_linked_hacking_group

China-linked hacking group observed actively exploiting a zero-day vulnerability in Cisco Secure Email appliances running AsyncOS, including Secure Email Gateway, Secure Email, and Web Manager appliances. The activity targets systems where the Spam Quarantine feature is enabled and exposed to the internet; exploitation may also occur from internal or VPN-reachable networks. Cisco Talos reported the campaign has been active since at least late November. The objective described in the content is to gain persistent access, and Cisco recommends rebuilding compromised appliances to fully remove attacker persistence. No additional aliases, sub-groups, or attribution details are provided in the content beyond the actor being China-linked.

Know when an actor pivots toward your sector

Mallory correlates actor tradecraft and target patterns against your stack, your sector, and your geography. See overlap before they land.
