DarkStormTeam
DarkStormTeam is a hacktivist threat actor identified in reporting on cyber activity surrounding the late February to early March 2026 Middle East escalation. The group was named among hacktivist actors active or claiming activity during 28 February–1 March 2026, a period in which open-channel monitoring recorded more than 150 claimed incidents. Reporting attributes to this hacktivist wave activity such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), website defacement, and claimed data-breach operations against government, financial, aviation, telecom, and critical-infrastructure targets. Specifically, DarkStormTeam claimed DDoS operations and data-leak activity against Israeli financial entities, with some spillover targeting in Saudi Arabia. The available content does not directly attribute DarkStormTeam to a nation state, but places it within a broader ecosystem of proxy and hacktivist activity associated with the regional conflict.
