Also known asmarshtreader

Marshtreader is an Iran-linked threat actor active since 2020 and reportedly linked to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). The content identifies Marshtreader as also known as Pink Sandstorm, Agrius, and Agonizing Serpens. In June 2025, the group was reported scanning for vulnerable cameras in Israel for reconnaissance and bombing damage assessment, including exploitation or targeting of CVE-2023-6895 and CVE-2017-7921. The same reconnaissance capability was assessed as likely still active in the current period. The reporting specifically describes the group conducting reconnaissance against Israeli targets during periods of regional tension.
