Command Injection in RE11S v1.11 /goform/mp

IdentifiersCVE-2025-22905CWE-77

CVE-2025-22905 is a command injection vulnerability in RE11S version 1.11. According to the provided content, the flaw exists in the /goform/mp endpoint and is triggered via the command parameter. Insufficient neutralization of attacker-controlled input allows crafted data supplied to this parameter to be interpreted as operating system commands. A remote attacker able to reach the vulnerable interface can exploit the flaw to execute arbitrary commands on the affected device.

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation can result in arbitrary command execution on the vulnerable RE11S device. This may allow an attacker to fully compromise the device, alter configuration, deploy malware or botnet payloads, establish persistence, pivot within the local network, or disrupt device availability and integrity.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

Restrict access to the vulnerable management interface, especially the /goform/mp endpoint, so it is not exposed to the public internet. Place affected devices behind firewalls or VPNs, enforce network segmentation, disable remote administration where not required, and monitor for suspicious requests containing shell metacharacters or unexpected values in the command parameter. Because this class of flaw is commonly botnet-targeted, continuous monitoring and rapid containment are advisable.

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Upgrade from RE11S v1.11 to a vendor-fixed version if one is available. If the vendor has issued updated firmware or a security advisory for CVE-2025-22905, apply it immediately. If no fix is available, replace the affected device with supported hardware.
