Parameter Tampering and User Impersonation in Navidrome
Navidrome versions prior to 0.52.0 are vulnerable to a parameter tampering flaw that allows attackers to manipulate HTTP request parameters, specifically the ownerId, enabling them to impersonate other users. This can be exploited to create playlists, add songs, post comments, and set playlists as public under another user's identity, including administrators. The attack requires the ability to intercept and modify HTTP traffic, and the ownerId can be obtained from shared playlist information, making all users who have shared playlists susceptible to impersonation.
