Reflected XSS in Cisco Secure Firewall ASA/FTD SAML 2.0 SSO

IdentifiersCVE-2026-20102CWE-79· Improper Neutralization of Input…

A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the SAML 2.0 single sign-on (SSO) feature of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA Software and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software. The issue is caused by insufficient input validation of multiple HTTP parameters processed by the SAML feature. An unauthenticated remote attacker can craft a malicious link containing XSS payloads and, by persuading a user to follow the link, trigger script execution in the victim’s browser in the context of the affected device’s SAML-related web interface, potentially exposing sensitive browser-accessible information.

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation allows reflected XSS against the SAML feature, enabling execution of attacker-supplied script in a victim user’s browser session and potential access to sensitive, browser-based information associated with that session/context.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

Information currently not available in the provided content (no workaround/mitigation guidance included).

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Information currently not available in the provided content (no fixed releases or patch guidance included).
