Reflected XSS in Adobe Connect

IdentifiersCVE-2026-27245CWE-79· Improper Neutralization of Input…

CVE-2026-27245 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Connect versions 2025.3, 12.10, and earlier. The issue allows attacker-controlled input to be reflected by a vulnerable page and executed as malicious JavaScript in the victim’s browser when the victim visits a crafted URL. Adobe’s published description indicates the flaw is exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, requires no privileges, and does require user interaction. The record also notes changed scope, consistent with script execution occurring in the security context of the targeted web application within the victim’s browser.

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the vulnerable Adobe Connect application as rendered in the victim’s browser. This can enable theft of session tokens or other sensitive browser-accessible data, unauthorized actions performed as the victim within the application, content manipulation, and other client-side impacts associated with reflected XSS. The CVSS vector provided by Adobe indicates high confidentiality and integrity impact, with no direct availability impact.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

If immediate patching is not possible, reduce exposure by limiting access to Adobe Connect to trusted networks or users where feasible, and warn users not to open unsolicited or untrusted Adobe Connect links. Apply standard XSS hardening measures around the deployment, including enforcing strong output encoding and input handling in custom integrations or reverse-proxied components if applicable. These are only temporary measures; vendor patching is the primary mitigation.

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Upgrade Adobe Connect to a vendor-fixed release referenced by Adobe Security Bulletin APSB26-37. Specifically, affected versions are 2025.3, 12.10, and earlier; organizations should move to a version newer than those affected builds as identified by Adobe’s advisory.
