Reflected XSS in Adobe Connect

IdentifiersCVE-2026-27243CWE-79· Improper Neutralization of Input…

CVE-2026-27243 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Adobe Connect affecting versions 2025.3, 12.10, and earlier. The flaw allows attacker-controlled input to be reflected by a vulnerable page and executed as malicious JavaScript in the victim's browser when the victim visits a crafted URL or interacts with a compromised web page. Adobe's disclosure states the issue is reflected XSS and that exploitation occurs in the browser context of the targeted user; the record also notes changed scope.

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation allows execution of attacker-supplied JavaScript in the victim's browser session within the Adobe Connect application context. This can enable theft of session tokens or other sensitive browser-accessible data, unauthorized actions as the victim, account/session compromise, content manipulation, and other integrity/confidentiality impacts associated with XSS. Based on the provided CVSS vector, confidentiality and integrity impacts are high, while availability impact is none.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

Until patches are fully deployed, reduce exposure by limiting access to Adobe Connect interfaces to trusted users and networks where feasible, monitoring for suspicious crafted links targeting Connect pages, and warning users not to open unsolicited or untrusted URLs. Standard web hardening measures such as strong output encoding/input handling and restrictive Content Security Policy may reduce exploitability, but vendor remediation is the primary fix.

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Upgrade Adobe Connect to a vendor-fixed release beyond versions 2025.3 and 12.10 and earlier, in accordance with Adobe advisory APSB26-37. Apply the latest security updates provided by Adobe to eliminate the reflected XSS condition.
