Out-of-bounds write in Apple Quick Look file parsing
CVE-2026-43656 is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Apple Quick Look. According to the provided Apple security advisory content, the flaw is triggered when Quick Look parses a maliciously crafted file. Apple states the issue was addressed through improved input validation. Successful triggering leads to memory corruption manifested as unexpected app termination. The issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.9 and iPadOS 18.7.9, iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5, macOS Sequoia 15.7.7, macOS Sonoma 14.8.7, and macOS Tahoe 26.5.
