Out-of-bounds read in Apple Accelerate
CVE-2026-28991 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Apple's Accelerate component. Apple states the issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. The vulnerability affects multiple Apple platforms prior to the fixed releases, including iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, macOS Tahoe 26.5, tvOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and watchOS 26.5. Successful exploitation by a local app may trigger a denial-of-service condition.
