Reflected XSS in Adobe Experience Manager Forms JEE

IdentifiersCVE-2026-34693CWE-79· Improper Neutralization of Input…

CVE-2026-34693 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Adobe Experience Manager Forms JEE versions LTS SP1, 6.5.24.0, and earlier. The flaw allows attacker-controlled script content to be reflected into a web page and executed in a victim’s browser when the victim visits a maliciously crafted URL or interacts with a compromised web page. Adobe states that exploitation requires user interaction and depends on conditions beyond the attacker’s control. The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79, and the CVSS v3.1 vector indicates changed scope (AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N).

ANALYST BRIEF

Impact, mitigation & remediation

What it means. What to do now. Patch path, mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.

Impact

What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.

Successful exploitation can result in execution of malicious script in the security context of the victim’s browser session with the affected application. This may allow theft or misuse of session data, unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim, and potential elevated access to or control over the victim’s account or session. Based on the provided CVSS vector, confidentiality and integrity impacts are high, while no direct availability impact is indicated.

Mitigation

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.

No specific vendor workaround is provided in the supplied content. Interim risk reduction measures include limiting exposure to untrusted links and web content, warning users against visiting maliciously crafted URLs, reducing opportunities for interaction with compromised web pages, and applying standard browser- and application-layer defenses for XSS exposure until the Adobe fix is deployed.

Remediation

Patch, then assume compromise.

Upgrade Adobe Experience Manager Forms JEE to a fixed version newer than 6.5.24.0 and the affected LTS SP1 release, in accordance with Adobe’s security advisory APSB26-57. Apply the vendor-provided security update as soon as available/appropriate in your environment.
