CVE-2026-32647 is a vulnerability in the ngx_http_mp4_module of NGINX Open Source and NGINX Plus. When NGINX is built with ngx_http_mp4_module and configured with the mp4 directive, processing a specially crafted MP4 file can trigger an out-of-bounds memory access in NGINX worker memory, described in the source material as a buffer over-read or over-write. The flaw affects NGINX Open Source versions 1.1.19 through 1.29.6 and vulnerable NGINX Plus releases including R32 through R36. Successful triggering can terminate the worker process and may possibly lead to code execution. The issue is limited to deployments where the MP4 module is present and actively used.
