Storm-3075
Storm-3075 is a Microsoft-tracked initial access broker and malware distributor. Microsoft observed it using AI-themed malvertising campaigns since at least early 2026 to deliver payloads on behalf of multiple downstream actors. Reported lures included terms such as "Awesome AI Windows Plugin" and "Flux Pro AI," with redirects from free movie streaming sites to fake downloads hosted on GitHub. Microsoft attributed the "Awesome AI Windows Plugin" activity to Storm-3075 and reported that it has distributed Vidar Stealer, Lumma Stealer, Hijack Loader, and Oyster in related campaigns. On March 13, 2026, a single Storm-3075 campaign targeted more than 66,000 devices, with most impacted devices assessed as consumer endpoints; top affected countries were Japan, South Africa, the United States, and France. In the documented infection chain, a fraudulently signed executable named ProFluxeFlowAi-win-Setup.exe used a CAPTCHA-like "Continue" checkbox to delay malicious behavior, then dropped pythonw.exe and LICENSE.txt into \AppData\Local\ and retrieved next-stage malware from brokeapt[.]com, ultimately delivering Vidar. Microsoft assessed that Storm-3075 delivers final payloads for multiple downstream actors.
