CVE-2026-11405 is an undocumented authentication backdoor in multiple Tenda router firmware versions. The flaw is in the /bin/httpd web server binary, specifically the login() function at 0x004c88b8. The normal authentication path performs MD5/hash-based password verification via routines including prod_encode64, PasswordToMd5, and check_rand_key. If normal authentication fails, the code follows a hidden alternate path that calls GetValue("sys.rzadmin.password") to retrieve a password from device configuration and then compares that value directly against the user-supplied password using strcmp(). If the comparison succeeds, the code assigns role=2 and creates a valid administrator session. The associated rzadmin username is not validated in this path, so any username can be used with the backdoor password. This bypasses the configured administrator credential system and exposes the device web management interface to unauthorized administrative access.
