CVE-2026-28564 is an authentication flaw in Apache IoTDB affecting versions 1.0.0 through before 2.0.10. The issue is described as insufficient session expiration and an authentication bypass by capture-replay condition in the REST Basic Authentication mechanism, where stale cached credentials may continue to be accepted after they should no longer be valid. This indicates that credential or session-related state is not invalidated promptly or correctly, allowing previously captured authentication material to be replayed successfully against the REST interface.
