CVE-2026-40140 is a high-severity pre-authentication vulnerability affecting BeyondTrust Remote Support (RS) and Privileged Remote Access (PRA). The flaw resides in the network communication subsystem and is caused by insufficient validation of client-supplied input. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send crafted input to the affected subsystem and trigger a denial-of-service condition, disrupting normal processing and reducing or preventing appliance availability. Affected versions include RS and PRA 25.3.2 and earlier; fixed versions are 25.3.3 and later, with the April 2026 Security Rollup also reported to remediate supported branches.
