CVE-2026-56688 is an OS command injection vulnerability in Dell PowerFlex Manager affecting versions prior to 5.1.0.1 and prior to 4.5.5.2. The flaw is caused by improper neutralization of special elements used in operating system commands during OS Repository processing. A remote attacker with high privileges can exploit the vulnerable processing path to inject and execute arbitrary OS commands. Because the injected commands execute as root, successful exploitation can result in complete compromise of the PowerFlex Manager appliance and create a pathway for further attacks against managed infrastructure.
