CVE-2026-57828 is a critical vulnerability in the Joomla extension Phoca Downloads. The issue is an authenticated arbitrary file upload flaw that permits a registered user to upload executable files through the extension's upload functionality. Successful exploitation can result in those uploaded files being executed by the server, leading to full remote code execution in the context of the web application. Available reporting also associates the issue with affected component versions earlier than 6.1.3.
